Don’t miss this thrilling program of masterworks for full orchestra featuring world-renowned violinist Amaryn Olmeda
First Prize winner at the 24th Sphinx Competition, violinist Amaryn Olmeda has already appeared as a soloist with many of America's greatest orchestras including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Houston Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony, Omaha Symphony, and Charlotte Symphony. This season sees Olmeda make debut performances with the Dallas Symphony, Calgary Philharmonic, Tallahassee Symphony, and more and appear in recital at the Celebrity Series of Boston. She joins the Apollo Ensemble to perform Miklós Rózsa’s Violin Concerto on a program that also features two works based on American folk melodies: the world premiere of a new piece by Èbùn and Copland’s Appalachian Spring.
